Crime Line – Report an Anonymous Tip

Newport News Crime Line – Week of November 4th, 2019

I’m MPO Brandon Maynard  The Newport News Police Department needs your help to solve a past homicide.

On September 3rd, 2019 at 1:53 AM, Newport News Communications received information of gunshots heard in the 3000 block of Roanoke Avenue. Approximately five minutes later, an additional call was received in reference to a possible victim in the 1100 block of 30th Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, later identified as 26 year-old Heath Kevin Williams of the 1000 block of 32nd Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Williams was pronounced deceased by medics at 2:06 AM. There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
