Newport News Crime Line – Weeks of February 21st, 2020
I’m MPO Brandon Maynard. The Newport News Police Department needs your help to solve a recent business robbery.
On February 14th, 2020 at 6:13 PM, Newport News Police were dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station, located in the 11700 block of Jefferson Avenue in reference to a robbery from business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the clerk, who advised two females entered the business, sprayed her with OC (pepper spray), and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register.
The first suspect was described as a black female, approximately 5'6" tall, short black hair, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
The second suspect was described as a black female, long pink braids, black mask covering her face, black zip-up hoodie with multiple colored print on the front, blue jeans, gray Ugg boots with bows on the back.
The investigation remains ongoing.
