Support Services Division

The Support Services Division manages and advises on the recruitment and hiring of Police Department employees. This division also maintains all records relative to recruiting activities.

The Internal Support Unit area of the division coordinates the administration of the Department Property & Evidence Unit, and manages all records of the Police Department.  This includes, but is not limited to, accident reports, criminal background checks, incident-based reporting, and summonses.

Also based with the Support Services Division is the Community Outreach Section, which coordinates all the formal community programs of the Department to include the School Resource Officer program.  The Community Programs Unit is also within this area, liaising with Neighborhood Watch groups and administering the department's robust Citizen Police Academy Program.
